This is the second video release in a three-part series where I am discussing “complex training” and “post-activation potentiation.” In this video, I explain how to incorporate complex training into a weekly micro-cycle for an athlete in the off-season phase of their strength and conditioning program. In addition, an example of how to design a single lower-body complex training workout session is shown. Performing complex training in the latter part of the off-season (i.e., for 4-6 weeks prior to the start of the competitive season), is a great way to help athletes reach peak strength and power, and to optimize athletic performance just before season games begin.
Be on the lookout for part 3 of this video series (the next video release) on complex training and post-activation potentiation!
If you have specific questions about exercise science, kinesiology, sports performance enhancement, bodybuilding, nutrition, supplementation, training, exercise program design, exercise technique, rehabilitation, injury prevention, etc., leave a comment below and I will try my best to produce a video over the topic in the future!
