Love Thy Hypocrisy
This track is about the weird emotional conflict of realizing something you genuinely believed in shaped you deeply… while also feeling increasingly disconnected from what it actually became. Not hatred. Not blind loyalty either. More like grief for an idea you thought was solid. A lot of it comes from growing up with this polished narrative about patriotism, justice, morality, and national identity, then getting older and slowly seeing the machinery behind it. The compromises, the contradictions, the performative parts. That moment where you can’t fully “unsee” the cracks anymore, even if part of you still wants to believe. I didn’t want the song to come across as cynical for the sake of being cynical though. The emotional core is conflict. There’s still attachment there. That’s what makes it hurt. It’s hard to separate yourself from something woven into your identity from childhood onward. The production mirrors that tension pretty heavily. Big anthem-like moments constantly interrupted by distortion, glitches, mechanical failures, and collapsing structure. Like nostalgia fighting with disillusionment in real time. Probably one of the most personal tracks I’ve written in terms of emotional honesty. ---- © 2026 All rights reserved.
