Power Clean & Jerk
The clean and jerk — pull the bar from floor to front rack, then drive it overhead in one push jerk. The full Olympic lift, end to end. ▶ HOW TO PERFORM: Power clean the bar to the front rack as in the standard lift. Reset the front rack, brace the core. Dip the knees slightly, then explode up driving the bar overhead while pressing under it slightly. Lock out tall. ▶ KEY POINTS: • Two distinct lifts — clean first, jerk second, no rushing the transition • Bar speed in the jerk comes from the leg drive, not the arms • Lock out tall under the bar — head through the arms at the top ▶ COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID: Trying to press the bar instead of driving it under loses the speed that makes the jerk work. Catching the jerk with bent arms is a missed lift — full lockout, every rep. This is a silent form demo.
