Reckless Entanglement
I was trying to go for some pseudo-legalese on that one…I don’t know, I think it’s kinda funny…
This was the first song I ever wrote on piano. I was mostly just playing with sounds and seeing how they went together. I had just graduated college, saying goodbye to a number of friends, but also the band that had been such a huge part of my life. We all went our separate ways. Breaking up with the band felt like breaking up with a girlfriend. Seemed like it needed a breakup song. One of my favorite songs we played together had a bunch of spider imagery in it, which is where the chorus and pre-chorus come from in here…and also what fed into the song title…
