TIPP is the first skill in the DISTRESS TOLERANCE/ CRISIS SURVIVAL SKILLS Catergory. TIPP is an acronym reminding you of the 4 things you can do when you are at your skills break down point where your emotions have taken over and/or your DISTRESS is too high to think straight. T stands for Tip your Temperature with cold water. I stands for Intense exercise. P stands for Paced breathing and the final P stands for Progressive Muscle Relaxation.
Your challenge is to try one of these even if you are not in distress just to notice and observe your physical and emotional response.
