This is Part 2 of our essential tutorial series on creating a dynamic pavement tie-in in Civil Site Design.
Following the geometry setup from Part 1, we now dynamically link the driveway edge to the main road. The focus is on implementing the Surface Extend tool. You'll learn how to create an extended road surface copy, ensuring a 0% crossfall to maintain the exact road edge elevation. We then use the Vertical Grading Editor (VGE) to set the driveway's Auto Profile to dynamically Surface Reference this new driveway extension instead of the Totalmodel.
Finally, we show how to automate internal connections using the Auto Profile - Fixed Level option.
