“ Muted Cry “
“ Muted Cry “ Muted cry, I’m left behind to carry the load. You are no longer here, you fell asleep and now I’m left with many tears. You snatched the dawn from the morning’s glare, Like flickers of Hope drifting on air, what once sparked joy now burdens the soul, laughter‘s echo lost in the depths of despair. Oh, can you feel my call? Do you not see the hearts, rise and fall? Times a thief, yet here I stand, with lost dreams and without my man. Life so cruel, hear my quiet screams, “ guard me from dreams that unravel at seams,” Longing for your warmth where the sunlight can be. Finding comfort in the burdens we shared, for many bear, the stains of sorrow’s hand, caught in the web of a future unplanned. Yes, a future unplanned because you are no longer here. It wasn’t your choice, I know you wanted to live, but I also know there was not much to give . My hero, you are, you will always be I’ll carry your tears beside me. Each heartbeat stitches, a tail intertwined, as we mead the seams of love we had. Oh, fate in shades, can you feel my call? Do you not see the heart’s rise and fall? Times a thief, it took my love, spinning stories no longer there, crying day and night longing for you, my true love. So here I stand, weary, yet bold, and love fierce name, I’ll find my way with a muted cry day by day. By written Diane Vasquez
