Poha Pakoda (Tea-Time Snack) A crispy and tasty Indian snack made with poha, potato, onions, and spices — perfect with tea. Ingredients Poha – 2 cups Potato – 1 medium, grated Onion – 1 medium, chopped Besan – 2 tbsp Rice Flour – 1 tbsp Ginger + Garlic – 1 tsp, finely chopped Fresh coriander leaves – 1/2 cup, chopped Spices Salt – 1/2 tsp or to taste Red chilli powder – 1 tsp or to taste Coriander powder – 1 tsp Amchur powder – 1 tsp Crushed cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp Crushed coriander seeds – 1 tsp Other Cooking oil – 1 tsp (for mixture) Water – as needed Oil – for deep frying Method Wash the poha lightly and let it soften for 5 minutes. In a large bowl, combine: softened poha grated potato chopped onion besan rice flour ginger-garlic coriander leaves all spices Add 1 tsp oil and mix well. Sprinkle a little water if needed to form a thick mixture. Heat oil for frying. Take small portions of the mixture and drop them into hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy.
