Far Away

And once again alone, once again no chance. A storm inside my head, a madness in my mind. She exists, but far away, and I can’t seem to shake this state. Does everything have to carry so much weight? Does the heart always have to shake like this? When the thought of her keeps burning me, and won’t let me breathe through the day. Every breath feels like a heavy stone. Every night is the same old storm. Somewhere beyond the horizon there’s her world, and I’m still standing here alone, alone. She exists, but far away, and I can’t seem to shake this state. Does everything have to carry so much weight? Does the heart always have to shake like this? When the thought of her keeps burning me, and won’t let me breathe through the day. Maybe it’s time to let it go, maybe it’s time to stop dreaming. But how do you forget what inside us keeps on calling, keeps on living? Does everything have to carry so much weight? I want to break free, I want to run again. Though she is far away, I still feel her near, and maybe someday this storm will clear.
