Spark in the Dark

In the silence of night, when the stars fade out, I search for words like drops of light, falling to earth, to break the dark, bringing hope with a quiet spark. The wind whispers traces of dreams long gone, while I stand still, staring at the dawn. Though time slips by like sand through my hand, the scent of longing is all I command. People pass by like shadows in mist, each in their own dream, by silence kissed. And I search for the spark that trembles in night, to feel alive again, to feel the light.
